AUTOLOGOUS MESENCHYMAL STEM CELL TREATMENT FOR DEGENERATIVE ARTHRITIS

Patient :65 Years Old Male

Treatment Date:October 2018

 BACKGROUND OF TREATMENT

The patient was an avid tennis player in his youth and sustained a sports injury to his right knee at the age of 45. However, he never sought medical treatment. Two years ago, he was diagnosed with degenerative joint disease, resulting in pain, stiffness, swelling, and severe cartilage wear in his right knee, which severely affected his daily life and ability to exercise.

  CHANGES AFTER TREATMENT

Mesenchymal stem cell injections were administered into the knee joint, with 50 million cells per injection, for a total of six treatments. Within six months following the treatment, the patient did not experience any adverse reactions. Symptoms such as pain, swelling, and instability in the right knee were significantly reduced. Joint mobility greatly improved, cartilage regeneration was observed, and the patient was able to resume normal daily activities and engage in low-intensity exercise.
